Lobby

10 de July de 2025 The Company on tour
Lobby

The dancers of the Tie Break company, who hail from the iconic Pockemon Crew (the world’s most successful battle crew), have taken the plunge to create a show that reflects their image: generous and sincere.

For nearly twenty years, they travelled the world. Their lives were punctuated by intense international tours. Hotel lobbies and rooms became their second home. It was there that all their discussions and debates began. Thus was born Lobby, a revue, a form of jazz-inspired musical comedy depicting moments of life in these luxurious hotels. The sketches, both comical and unusual, follow one another, punctuated by encounters, prejudices, the role of concierges and receptionists, room service and the rooms themselves, not to mention the guests and their demands. This revue, which highlights the uniqueness and virtuosity of each individual while maintaining the collective pleasure, offers us wonderful entertainment. Jubilant!

Statement of intent

Performers and choreographers since 2006, we are taking a new leap forward with our first piece, Lobby, marked by our signature blend of technical prowess and energy that are the very essence of breakdancing. Travelling the world on our international tours, we have made hotels our second home.

The situations described in Lobby, both comical and unusual, reveal life in these large hotels: encounters between staff (room service, receptionists, bellboys, etc.) and guests, everyday life in the rooms, in the lobbies, in the lifts, etc. Our eight characters, each unique and complementary, evolve in a hip-hop musical revisited and inspired by African-American dance.
