In a world where light reveals as much as it conceals, Mon Ombre is a poetic and captivating adventure in which dance becomes a universal language. At the crossroads of breaking and visual theatre, this piece is an immersive journey between reality and imagination, where shadow and light no longer oppose each other but complement each other to create a living, sensitive tableau. This encounter between the visible and the invisible questions our perception of ourselves and others, inviting us to rethink identity and difference.
Mon Ombre is a journey into the heart of intimacy, a poetic dialogue between light and darkness. This project was born out of a fascination with the shadow that always accompanies us, discreet but essential, a symbol of our hidden side, our doubts, but also our potential. Through this show, I wanted to question the unique relationship we have with our identity: how do we construct ourselves? Who are we when faced with others, when faced with our differences?
At the heart of this show, the unique relationship between a dancer and his shadow becomes a powerful metaphor: that of identity, duality, and encounter. The shadow, elusive and alive, fascinates, escapes, provokes. It is at once a reflection, a double, a companion and a mystery. Together, dancer and shadow seek each other out, confront each other and finally meet, drawing an intimate and universal story, accessible to all.
With Mon Ombre, I want to weave a dialogue between dance and poetry, where the play of light, the movement of bodies and a subtle narrative touch young and old alike. Conceived as a danced fable, this piece invites us to look beyond appearances, to question ourselves, others and what binds us together.
Breaking, with its blend of agility, fluidity and raw power, becomes a language in its own right here. It brings to life an exploration between absence and presence, visible and invisible, in a theatrical universe where light and shadow no longer oppose each other but complement each other.
