The company

Founded in November 2014, the Lignes Urbaines company aims to promote cultural diversity through boldness and questioning established norms. Its members seek to highlight the language of cultures, as well as their capacity to be experienced in varied and personal ways, while respecting their authenticity and essence. To do this, they go to the crossroads, searching for a combined message that opens up the field of possibilities beyond unconsciously established codes. The ambition of the collective, composed of actors from various backgrounds, is to free themselves from labels regarding working methods and disciplines, within the current creative landscape, as well as among audiences.

Creations

IKŌ (2023)

Creation for five performers at the crossroads of Parkour and dance

Through a universe influenced by street culture, IKŌ seeks to find the right path to bring together the tools specific to Parkour and the technicality of choreographic art, highlighting a practice that is still underrepresented on stage. The uniqueness of the show lies in the metaphor represented by the scenographic structure: a complex structure of metal and planks that extends into a ten-metre by ten-metre cube. A space that initially appears stifling gradually becomes a terrain of infinite possibilities.

Team

Elle donne des cours réguliers et des masterclasses au sein de diverses structures de la métropole lyonnaise (Pôle Pik, Mov’n’Dance, Mix Dance Energy, CNSMD de Lyon), ainsi que des ateliers en milieu scolaire.

Elle développe, en parallèle de son activité de danseuse, des projets tels que Kampus et Répertoire & Folia (Direction Artistique Mourad Merzouki). Elle collabore aussi avec le groupe Pethrol, les artistes peintres du collectif Smicarts et la compagnie 100 Blazes.

En 2014, elle décide de créer la compagnie Lignes Urbaines, qui a pour objectif de se renouveler perpétuellement autour de l’art chorégraphique, dans un univers propre. Trois pièces voient le jour : Hunimal en 2014, 130 YENS en 2016 et Profil Bis en 2018. Elle partage des extraits de son répertoire avec de jeunes danseur·euses issu·es des formations Désoblique, Mix Dance Energy, Cie Au Fait – Fabrik D’artistes...

Marion s’intéresse depuis des années à la culture japonaise. Elle apprend la langue et profite de ses séjours sur place pour se former aux outils pédagogiques si singuliers des danseur·euses hip-hop nippons. Toujours à la recherche de nouveauté et de renouvellement, Marion débute la pratique de l’Aïkido en 2017, puis du Parkour en 2020. Elle est également étudiante en philosophie à l’université Paris 10.
